552nd Quartermaster Railhead Company in Northern Ireland

From November 1943, 552nd Quartermaster Railhead Company of the United States Army had bases in Gough Barracks, Co. Armagh and in Seskinore, Co. Tyrone.

552nd Quartermaster Railhead Company was one of the US Army's segregated units. This service company contained black soldiers. They received battle participation credit for their role in offensives in the Ardennes, Alsace, and Normandy in 1944.

1st Platoon, 552nd Quartermaster Railhead Company had a base at Gough Barracks, Armagh, Co. Armagh from 9th November 1943. Between 4th November 1943 and 2nd September 1944, the rest of the Company was at Q-111S Seskinore, Co. Tyrone.
