On 16th October 1940, Lockheed Hudson T9328 crashed at Slieveanee Mountain, Cargan, Co. Antrim. Over the years, local aviation groups have removed much of the wreckage.
At the time, the British plane was with R.A.F. 224 Squadron, based nearby at R.A.F. Aldergrove, Co. Antrim. All 5 crew members died at the scene as a result of the incident.

The graves of Flight Lieutenant Francis Colin Scott, Pilot Officer Ronald John Davies, and Flying Officer Anthony Beresford Tisdall are in St. Catherine’s Church of Ireland, Killead, Co. Antrim. In 2015, members of Glenravel Historical Society unveiled a memorial plaque at the crash site to mark the 75th anniversary.
