70th Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment

70th Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment was a unit of Young Soldiers used for Home Defence duties. The battalion was in Northern Ireland from October 1941.

70th (Young Soldiers) Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment arrived in Belfast, Co. Antrim on 22nd October 1941 before moving to Ballykinler, Co. Down that December. August 1942, saw a move to Glenarm, Co. Antrim before disbandment in Donaghadee, Co. Down in June 1943.
