Sergeant Major Albert McConville served with 1st Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles during World War Two. McConville was from Lisburn, Co. Antrim.
The Sergeant Major was injured during the Normandy landings. His nephew Archie Mitchell traveled to Normandy in 2004 for the 60th anniversary of D-Day.
