Leading Cook Arthur Whitley Sykes Mackie (NAP R746) served in the Naval Auxiliary Personnel during World War Two. He was born on 17th September 1889 in Fylde, Lancashire.
He died on 24th July 1941 aged 51 years old. At the time, he served at HMS Mersey. This was a Naval Depot in Liverpool, Lancashire. The Royal Navy commissioned it as a branch of HMS Eaglet between 1940 and 1946.
