Private Harrison died at Purdysburn Fever Hospital, Belfast on 10th January 1943 aged 21 years old. 70th (Young Soldiers) Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment was in Donaghadee, Co. Down at the time. The regiment arrived in Belfast on 22nd October 1941 before moving to Ballykinler, Co. Down that December. August 1942, saw a move to Glenarm, Co. Antrim before disbandment in Donaghadee, Co. Down in June 1943.

Christopher Walter Joseph Harrison’s grave is in Glenalina Extension, Section CS, Grave 91 of Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast. His name is on the Fenny Compton War Memorial, Warwickshire, England and the Priors Hardwick War Memorial, Warwickshire, England. His headstone in Belfast bears the inscription:
