Fourth Engineer Officer Douglas Wilson of Belfast, Co. Antrim died on 5th November 1940 when the Admiral Scheer sank the Belfast built SS Kenbane Head.

Fourth Engineer Officer Douglas Wilson of Belfast, Co. Antrim served in the Merchant Navy on board SS Kenbane Head when it came under attack in waters off the coast of Greenland.

Fourth Engineer Officer Douglas Wilson served in the Merchant Navy during World War Two. He was the son of Robert Wilson and Matilda Wilson. He lived at 123 Manor Street, Belfast, Co. Antrim.

He died on 5th November 1940 aged 23 years old. He was onboard SS Kenbane Head went it came under attack from the Kriegsmarine surface raider Admiral Scheer. A total of 24 men died when the Belfast built vessel went down off the coast of Greenland.

Douglas Wilson has no known grave. His name is on Panel 60 of the Tower Hill Memorial, London, England.
