Flight Sergeant George Francis Grattan (521645) served in the Royal Air Force during World War Two. He died on 1st December 1942 in a prisoner of war camp in Japan aged 32 years old. His name is on Panel 5 of the Yokohama Cremation Memorial, Japan.
George Francis Grattan was the son of Major Andrew Francis Grattan and Matilda Lillian Grattan of 40 Ashley Gardens, Bangor, Co. Down. His wife was Daisy Evangeline Grattan.
His sisters Shelagh Grattan and Angeline Grattan died as a result of enemy action alongside their mother in Bangor, Co. Down on 16th April 1941.
