Fusilier James Graham (3129435) served in 1st Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers during World War Two. Born on 25th June 1916, he was the son of the late Samuel Graham and Sophia Graham (née Barr) of 19 Movilla Street, Newtownards, Co. Down.
James enlisted at 18 and had almost 7 years’ service in the British Army. He had spent several years overseas He died in England on 13th December 1940 aged 24 years old. Fusilier Graham had 2 brothers who also served in World War Two; Thomas Graham with Royal Scots Fusiliers and Samuel Graham with Gordon Highlanders and Colonial Police in Singapore.
James Graham’s grave is in Section 12, Grave 127 of Movilla Cemetery, Newtownards, Co. Down. His headstone bears the inscription:
Ever remembered by his loving mother, brothers, and sisters.
