John Cameron Patience was one of the first civilian casualties of the Belfast Blitz when the shipyards and docks in Belfast, Co. Antrim came under attack.

John Cameron Patience was one of the first civilian casualties of the Belfast Blitz. He was the husband of Jane Patience of 128 Limestone Road, Belfast, Co. Antrim.

On the night of 7th-8th April 1941, the Luftwaffe attacked the city in what would become known as The Docks Raid of the Belfast Blitz.

John Cameron Patience died on 8th April 1941 aged 60 years old. His place of death was Harland and Wolff Shipyard, Ltd., Belfast, Co. Antrim. His grave is in Glenalina Extension, Section J, Grave 167 of Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast, Co. Antrim. His funeral took place on 11th April 1941.
