Rifleman John McIlwee (7015235) served in 2nd Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles during World War Two. He was the son of William McIlwee and Sarah McIlwee, and husband of Catherine McIlwee of Belfast, Co. Antrim.

John McIlwee died on 31st May 1944 aged 31 years old. His grave is in Section B, Row ZF, Grave 38 of Milltown Cemetery, Belfast, Co. Antrim. His headstone bears the inscription:
