Fusilier Samuel Lowry (6973050) served in the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers during World War Two. He was the son of Samuel Lowry and Elizabeth Lowry of Belfast, Co. Antrim. He married Mary Anne Valentine Reid, also of Belfast, Co. Antrim.

The fusilier died on 19th November 1945 aged 46 years old. Samuel Lowry’s grave is in Glenalina Extension, Section D1, Grave 179 of Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast, Co. Antrim. His headstone bears the inscription:

Father, in Thy gracious keeping, leave we now our loved one sleeping.
