Gunner Samuel Robinson McBurney (1465660) served in 22nd Battery, 8th (Belfast) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment, Royal Artillery during World War Two. He was the son of Alice McBurney, and husband of Martha McBurney of Belfast, Co. Antrim.
Samuel Robinson McBurney died on 25th July 1944 aged 42 years old. His grave is in Glenalina Extension, Section S1, Grave 361 of Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast, Co. Antrim. His headstone bears the inscription:
Fear ye not. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. Ex XIV 13.
