Sergeant William Patrick Clyde (1798065) served in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve during World War Two. Born on 13th October 1924, he was the son of William Clyde and Frances Maud Clyde (née Boyle) of Bushmills, Co. Antrim.

He died on 6th November 1944 aged 20 years old. He was an Air Gunner with RAF 106 Squadron on Avro Lancaster LL953 ZN-O. The plane came down on a raid over Gravenhorst, Germany. It was likely shot down by Hauptmann Modrow of 1/NJG1 at 1924hrs.
