Currie Junior School today is Currie Primary School and still stands on the Limestone Road in North Belfast. Child evacuees gathered here on 8th July 1940.

On 4th July 1940, the Belfast Newsletter listed Currie Junior School as a place from where unregistered children would be evacuated on Monday 8th July 1940.
This was part of an attempt to evacuate young people from Belfast a year before the Blitz.
