In the summer of 2017, an explosive device thought to date to World War Two was discovered in a resident's garden on Victoria Street, Armagh, Co. Armagh.

On 10th June 2017, residents on Victoria Street, Armagh, Co. Armagh found themselves evacuated from their homes and businesses. The St. Mark's side of the street was the scene of the discovery of a possible World War Two era explosive device.

Army Tecnical Offivers and emergency services arrived on the scene and carried out a controlled explosion in a garden. The detonation took place at just after 1500hrs.

Police dealt with the discovery of a small device, thought to be from World War Two, in the Victoria Street area of Armagh.
