21st July marks Belgian National Day and provides a chance to remember the role played by Northern Ireland in rebuilding the Belgian Infantry in 1945.

In 1945, as the Second World War drew to an end, elements of a new Belgian Army arrived in Ulster. They reformed and retrained throughout Northern Ireland.
