Alfred Cumming Storey was born in Clandeboye Street, Belfast, Co. Antrim. He went on to serve in several theatres of operation during World War Two with the Royal Air Force.

Warrant Officer Alfred Cumming Storey (1086889) served in the Royal Air Force during World War Two. Born on 3rd January 1922, he was the son of Alfred Storey and Marion Storey (née Cumming) of Clandeboye Street, Belfast, Co. Antrim. Alfred later married Martha Elizabeth Boyles.

During the war, he served with RAF 36 Squadron, demobbing in 1946. He had clocked up over 1,000 flying hours. Storey’s battle honours included the Battle of the Atlantic, North Africa, and Italy. Alfred Cumming Storey died on 22nd March 2005 aged 83 years old. In later life, he resided in Orangefield Gardens, Belfast, Co. Antrim.
