Pilot Officer Cyril Edward Russell Sanderson (63242) served in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve during the Second World War. He was the son of Charles Edward Sanderson and Mary Constance Sanderson.
Cyril Edward Russell Sanderson died at Quarry Road, Strandtown, Belfast on 29th June 1941 aged 33 years old. His grave is in Glenalina Extension, Section AS, Grave 108 of Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast. His headstone bears the inscription:
O living self, O God, O Morning Star, give us Thy light, forgive us what we are.
