Flight Sergeant Donald Murray Gibson (413982) served in the Royal Australian Air Force during the Second World War. He was the son of Cleveland Julian Vincent Gibson and Ella Hope Gibson of Walcha, New South Wales, Australia.

Flight Sergeant Gibson died on 15th May 1943 aged 22 years old. At the time, he served with RAF No. 5 (Coastal) Operational Training Unit. He was the Pilot on board Bristol Beaufort EL131. After taking off from RAF Long Kesh, Co. Down, the plane came down at 0920hrs around 1 mile north of Shields’ Corner, Castledawson, Co. Londonderry killing all 5 of the crew.
