Sergeant Hubert Guy (1096085) served in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve during the Second World War. He was the son of Francis Guy and Elizabeth Guy of Belfast.

Hubert died on 18th August 1942 aged 22 years old. He was the pilot of Hawker Hurricane W9117 performing authorised forced landing approaches. The R.A.F. No. 56 Operational Training Unit plane dived into the ground at a shallow angle east of Lour around 4 miles south-east of Forfar, Angus, Scotland.

Hubert Guy’s grave is in Section F4, Grave 565 of Dundonald Cemetery, Dundonald, Co. Down. His headstone bears the inscription:
