Constable James Alexander Stranaghan (4030) served in the Palestine Police Force during World War Two. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Stranaghan of Ballymacarn, Co. Down.

James Alexander Stranaghan died on 19th March 1947 aged 21 years old as a result of an explosion while on duty. His grave is in Plot 11, Grave 6 of Haifa (Sharon) British Civil Cemetery, Israel.
