Aircraftman 2nd Class James Trainer (974540) served in the Royal Air Force during World War Two. He was the son of Patrick Trainer and Elizabeth Trainer of Clough, Co. Down.
James Trainor died on 18th March 1941 aged 24 years old. His grave is in S Extension, RC, Grave 37N of South End Cemetery, Port Elizabeth, South Africa. His headstone bears the inscription:
On his soul, Sweet Jesus, have mercy. St. Patrick and St. Jude intercede for him.
