Fireman John Murray (907049) served in the Naval Auxiliary Personnel during World War Two. Born on 8th February 1898, he was the son of John Murray and Ellen Murray of 11 King's Court, Belfast, Co. Antrim, and the husband of Mary Ann Murray of Belfast, Co. Antrim.
He died on 17th March 1940 aged 42 years old while serving on HMS Mooltan. The cause of death was Haemoptysis due to Fibrosis of the lung.
John Murray has no known grave. His name is on Panel 17, Column 1 of the Liverpool Naval Memorial, Liverpool, Lancashire.
