Leading Aircraftman Malachy Digby (619951) served in the Royal Air Force during World War Two. He was the son of Thomas Digby and Susan Digby of Armagh, Co. Armagh, and the husband of Mary Digby of 35 Navan Street, Armagh, Co. Armagh.

Malachy and Mary had a son born on 7th February 1943 in the Carleton Maternity Home, Portadown, Co. Armagh. Leading Aircraftman Digby died while serving with the Royal Air Force in Egypt on 17th March 1944 aged 36 years old.

Malachy Digby’s grave is in Section XXXI, Row H, Grave 22 of El Alamein War Cemetery, Egypt. His headstone bears the inscription:
