Olive Calder was born in Belfast in 1882. She later worked as a Housekeeper in London where she died during the Luftwaffe's aerial bombardment.

Civilian Olive Calder died on 12th October 1940 aged 58 years old. Born on 23rd October 1882, she was the eldest daughter of James Moore Calder and Martha Jane Calder of 15 Hawthornden Road, Belfast.

The 1939 Register lists Olive as a single woman employed as a Housekeeper at 72 Denbigh Street, London, England. Her death occurred at Westminster Hospital, London, England as a result of injuries sustained at 77 St. George’s Square in the city. During October 1940, the Luftwaffe carried out many attacks on London, England. These night-time attacks fell under the codename ‘Loge’.
