Sergeant Sydney Wasson (1063520) served in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve during World War Two. He was the son of Robert Wasson and Mary Wasson of Dunadry, Co. Antrim.
Sydney died on 16th March 1944 aged 25 years old. He was an Air Bomber on Avro Lancaster W4833 CF-J with RAF 625 Squadron. The crew took off from RAF Kelstern, Lincolnshire at 1855hrs on a night-time raid on Stuttgart, Germany. The plane disappeared presumed lost in the sea off the coast of France.
