Leading Aircraftman Thomas Lunney (1063465) served in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve during the Second World War. He was the son of Joseph Lunney and Mary J. Lunney of Belfast.
Thomas died on 22nd July 1947 aged 25 years old. The cause of death was tubercular meningitis as a result of pulmonary tuberculosis. He served in the United Kingdom at the time and authorities in Belfast registered the death.
Thomas Lunney’s grave is in Section B, Row T, Grave 105 of Milltown Cemetery, Belfast. His headstone bears the inscription:
