Dartry Lodge, Blackwatertown, Co. Armagh was an old mansion house. The former "Gentleman's Residence" had been home to Richard Olphert. Another resident was Alexander Robinson Esquire JP who sold the house and lands in July 1917.

In January 1939, Mr. RS Chapman, an optician and chemist of Donegal, Eire died while in residence at Dartry Lodge. He had lived in Donegal for over 50 years before returning closer to his hometown of Portadown, Co. Armagh. Chapman had been ill for some time, having come to Dartry Lodge to recuperate.
