Scottish born Private Andrew Hill Brown was the husband of Catherine Brown (née Campbell) of Carnlough, Co. Antrim.

Private Andrew Hill Brown (13046098) served in the Auxiliary Military Pioneer Corps during the Second World War. Born on 17th January 1888, he was the son of Andrew Brown and Eliza Ann Brown (née Rapson) of Eastwood, Renfrewshire, Scotland. Eliza Ann Brown, known as Ann died 10 days after giving birth to her son.

Andrew was the husband of Catherine Brown (née Campbell) of Carnlough, Co. Antrim. They married in Govan, Lanarkshire, Scotland on 25th February 1927. Before the outbreak of the Second World War, Brown worked as a Railway Engine Shunter.

Andrew Hill Brown died in Aberdeen, Scotland on 18th August 1940 aged 52 years old. His grave is in Section C, Grave 501 of Cardonald Cemetery, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. His headstone bears the inscription:

Oh Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on his soul.
