Christopher John Webster died on 17th July 1944 aged 24 years old. His grave is in Section III, Row F, Grave 2 of Brouay War Cemetery, Normandy, France. His name is also on the Gilford War Memorial, Gilford, Co. Down. His headstone in France bears the inscription:

Sleep, dear husband, in God’s keeping. Your life for your country you nobly gave.
