David Preston Coventry was born in Glasgow, Lanarkshire but moved to Belfast where he married Elizabeth and served in the Royal Army Service Corps.

Corporal David Preston Coventry (T/31715) served in the Royal Army Service Corps during the Second World War. Born on 13th April 1903, he was the son of John Coventry and Jane Preston Coventry of Glasgow, Lanarkshire.

David lived at 64 Rydalmere Street, Belfast with his wife Elizabeth Coventry. He died on 10th May 1947 aged 44 years old.

David Preston Coventry’s grave is in Glenalina Extension, Section B2, Grave 516 of Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast. His headstone bears the inscription:

Without farewell, he fell asleep leaving memories for us to keep.
