Belfast-born Corporal Frederick Murdock served in the Royal Welch Fusiliers during the Battle of Arnhem in September 1944.

Corporal Frederick Murdock (7010813) served in 6th Battalion Royal Welch Fusiliers during the Second World War. He was the son of Robert Murdock and Margaret Murdock (née Patterson) of Belfast, and the husband of Violet Murdock (née Young) of Belfast.

Frederick Murdock died on 25th September 1944 aged 33 years old during Operation Market Garden. His grave is in Row 11, Grave 7 of Reusel Roman Catholic Cemetery, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands. His headstone bears the inscription:

He died that we might live.
