Lance Corporal Henry Greer (6985178) served in 1st Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles during the Second World War. He was from Cookstown, Co. Tyrone.

He died on 8th June 1944 aged 21 years old. On this day, 1st Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles engaged in heavy fighting as they attempted to take the village of Sainte-Honorine. Among those who served alongside Lance Corporal Greer was his close friend Joe Hall of Co. Tyrone.
