Driver James Hubbard (T/185541) served in 4th Brigade Company, Royal Army Service Corps. He was the son of Thornton Hubbard and Annie Gertrude Hubbard of Boreham Wood, Hertfordshire, England, and the husband of Edith Mary Hubbard of Boreham Wood, Hertfordshire, England.
James Hubbard died on 24th August 1941 aged 29 years old. His grave is in Section 23, Grave 109 of Movilla Cemetery, Newtownards, Co. Down. His headstone bears the inscription:
They never fail who died in a great cause.
