Gunner James Traynor (1524019) served in 226th Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, Royal Artillery during World War Two. He was the son of Patrick Traynor and Sarah Traynor. and the husband of Elizabeth Traynor of Belfast, Co. Antrim.
James Traynor died on 9th March 1942 aged 46 years old. His grave is in Glenalina Extension, Section R, Grave 185 of Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast, Co. Antrim. His headstone bears the inscription:
He died that we might live.
