Corporal John Clarke (D/24423) served in 6th Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles during World War Two. He lived with his wife at Rockburn, Ballybeen, Dundonald Co. Down.
He died in a military hospital on 28th March 1940. At the time, he was serving in 6th Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles, a Home Defence Unit of older men with military experience.
John Clarke’s grave is in Section F6, Grave 188 of Dundonald Cemetery, Dundonald, Co. Down. A funeral service took place at 1430hrs on 1st April 1940.
