Rifleman John McFarland (25089) served in 30th Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles during World War Two. He was the husband of Anna Mina McFarland of 5 Ceylon Street, Belfast, Co. Antrim.
John died at No. 24 British General Hospital, Campbell College, Belfast, Co. Down on 25th March 1942.
John McFarland’s grave is in Section A2, Grave 241 of Dundonald Cemetery, Dundonald, Co. Down. His headstone bears the inscription:
He brought me up out of the miry clay and set my feet upon a rock.
