Fusilier Michael Gerard McGrath (6984205) served in 1st Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers during World War Two. He was the son of Thomas McGrath and Margaret McGrath of Newry, Co. Down.
McGrath served in the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers before transferring to the Lancashire Fusiliers as part of 77th Indian Infantry Brigade. He died on 18th March 1944 aged 21 years old.
Michael Gerard McGrath has no known grave. His name is on Face 9 of the Rangoon Memorial, Myanmar.
