Sergeant Michael Queally was the husband of Mary Kathleen Queally of Omagh, Co. Tyrone. He died while serving in the BEF in 1940.

Sergeant Michael Queally (7110997) served in 1st Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers during the Second World War. He was the son of William Queally and Anastasia "Stasia" Queally, and the husband of Mary Kathleen Queally of Omagh, Co. Tyrone.

He died of wounds on 28th May 1940 aged 37 years old. He fought with 1st Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers with the British Expeditionary Force during the fall back to Dunkirk, France.

Michael Queally’s grave is in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Knockmoyle, Co. Tyrone. His headstone bears the inscription:

Pray for the soul of the departed one, grant him, O Lord, eternal rest. RIP.
