Colour Sergeant Nathaniel Robert Smith (D/24698) served in 30th Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles during the Second World War. He was the son of Nathaniel Smith and Sarah Smith, and husband of Mary Smith of Bangor, Co. Down.
Nathaniel Robert Smith died on 14th June 1942 aged 45 years old. His grave is in Section 4V, Grave 27 of Bangor Cemetery, Bangor, Co. Down. His headstone bears the inscription:
Abide with me. Also his dear wife Mary died 27th May 1988 age 87.
