Rifleman Richard Wilson from Belfast, Co. Antrim served in 1st Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles before his untimely death on 25th February 1942 as a result of injuries sustained in an explosion.

Rifleman Richard Wilson (7013415) served in 1st Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles during World War Two. He was the son of Elizabeth Hogg of Belfast, Co. Antrim.

Richard died on 25th February 1942 aged 27 years old. His cause of death was attributed to shock after an explosion.

Richard Wilson’s grave is in Glenalina Extension, Section R1, Grave 266 of Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast, Co. Antrim. His headstone bears the inscription:
