Rifleman Robert James Moffatt (7013481) served in 2nd Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles during the Second World War. He was the son of George W Moffatt and Daisy Jane Moffatt of Belfast.

He died on 28th May 1940 aged 20 years old during operations that would bring the 2nd Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles to Dunkirk.

Robert James Moffat’s grave is in Grave 1 of Boezinge Churchyard, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. His headstone bears the inscription:
