Private Thomas Charles Deville (7020517) served in 113th Company, Pioneer Corps during the Second World War. Born on 2nd April 1907, he was the son of James George Deville and Jane Deville (née Adkins) of birth was Fulham, London, Middlesex. His mother died in 1913 and his father remarried. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission lists Thomas as the foster-son of James George Deville and Emily Deville.
Thomas died at Bangor Hospital, Bangor, Co. Down on 6th May 1943 aged 35 years old. His death was a result of pancreatic cancer. His last known address was 37 Cherrygrove, Hillingdon, Middlesex.
Thomas Charles Deville’s grave is in Section 5X, Grave 1 of Bangor Cemetery, Bangor, Co. Down. His headstone bears the inscription:
