Able Seaman Victor Frank Douglas Dolan of Southsea, Hampshire died at Civil Fever Hospital, Newtownards, Co. Down where he underwent treatment for typhoid.

Able Seaman Victor Frank Douglas Dolan (P/JX 142717) served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War. Born on 2nd August 1919, he was the son of Mrs. I Dolan of Southsea, Hampshire.

He died on 20th June 1941 aged 21 years old. At the time, he served on HMS Pegasus but was attached to HMS Caroline in Belfast. Cause of death was complications caused by typhoid, for which he received treatment at the Civil Fever Hospital, Newtownards, Co. Down.

Victor Frank Douglas Dolan’s grave is in Glenalina Extension, Section D, Grave 5 of Belfast City Cemetery, Belfast. His headstone bears the inscription:
