Private William James Stewart (D/39922) served in 10th Battalion The King's (Liverpool) Regiment during the Second World War. Born on 6th September 1900, he was the son of John Stewart and Mary Stewart (née Maynes) of Belfast.
William died in London on 26th August 1941 aged 41 years old. At the time, he lived at 135 Alliance Road, Belfast. His Battalion served in the United Kingdom as a Home Defence unit.
William James Stewart’s grave is in Section C1, Grave 571 of Dundonald Cemetery, Dundonald, Co. Down.
