Private William Christopher Gibson (4921930) served in 2nd Battalion Monmouthshire Regiment during the Second World War. He was the son of the late Joseph Gibson and Catherine Gibson of Belfast.
William Christopher Gibson died on 24th September 1944 aged 26 years old during Operation Market Garden. His grave is in Section I, Row C, Grave 1 of Valkenswaard War Cemetery, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands. His headstone bears the inscription:
Loving son of Catherine and the late Joseph Gibson. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. RIP.
