Fusilier William Graham of Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim during the Battle of Normandy while serving in northern France with 11th Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers.

Fusilier William Graham (6982554) served in 11th Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers during the Second World War. He was the son of John Graham and Agnes Jane Graham (née Anthony) of Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim.

He died on 25th June 1944 aged 19 years old while fighting with 11th Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers in Normandy.

William Graham’s grave is in Section I, Row B, Grave 8 of St. Manvieu War Cemetery, Cheux, France. His headstone bears the inscription:

At the river’s crystal brink, Christ shall join each broken link.
